Finding Good Deals

So one thing that I know is a big deal for anyone is expenses. Because tools can get expensive!  All of my tools I buy used; you do not have to buy anything new as far as tools go. There are lots of ways to do this: I like to go to antique stores, thrift stores, and garage sales are always a good thing to stop in to. But some things to look for in power tools – you can find some really good deals on them. The picture below is a belt sander that I bought at a garage sale for $5 and it has been working now for two years without a problem. I got all of my hammers from places like this. I would say that the start up cost for all of the tools that I have bought would be around $75, not counting my anvil and post vise. So you can see my point: buy used, save the...

My Blacksmithing Setup

Hello everyone! I apologize for taking so long to post anything new, but things have been very busy for me. This is a video of my blacksmithing setup. Some people might expect me to have some fancy shop and power hammers. But like most guys starting off, I have a little spot in our yard that is for my blacksmithing, and this video goes over some the tools and things I use. I am by no means a photographer of any kind, so I hope that everyone likes this video.
